The Depot Challenge
Game Play Rules
- The Depot Challenge is a skills game where a paying customer gets one chance to throw the golden axe to hit a blue kill shot. If they hit the kill shot on that throw, they win available jackpot. If they fail to hit the kill shot, the game is over and they can choose to participate again or quit.
- The available jackpot will be prominently displayed in The Axe Depot.
- The Jackpot is progressive. For every failed attempt, the jackpot grows by $2.00. As an incentive, The Axe Depot can add to the pot from time-to-time. Once a game is won, the pot restarts at $25.
- The available jackpot grows by paying players failing to win. The jackpot grows by $2.00 per failed attempt. There is no limit on the pot size.
- A player must pay their $5 entry fee prior to throwing. This fee is payable by cash, check, or card at the Pay Kiosk or to one of The Axe Depot employees. Once they pay, they are put into the game queue where they will throw on a first come first paid basis. The game queue will be displayed in The Axe Depot and the order will be at the sole discretion of The Axe Depot.
- Only Axe Throwing customers are allowed to play. Spectators or other general admission individuals cannot participate.
- A winning kill shot hit is defined as a singular throw that breaks the outer edge of the white line of the blue kill shot. Every Depot Split throw must be witnessed and certified by an Axe Depot employee. The Axe Depot, and its employees, have final discretion on the official ruling of the throw. Don’t worry, we want you to win!
- The Axe Depot will payout all winnings, up to, and including $50, the night of the win. Any payouts over $50, The Axe Depot can decide to pay or a winning check will be mailed within 5 days to the Winner at the address they provide.
- A player can play as many times as they like but can only win once per throwing session.
Game Play Example
- The Axe Depot sets the available jackpot at $25.
- As a paying axe throwing customer on Lane 3, Terry the Axe Tamer tells his buddies, “I can double my money. I’ve been hitting kill shots all night.”
- Terry pays his $5 to the Pay Kiosk. An Axe Depot employee gets out the Golden Axe and witnesses Terry’s two throws at the kill shot.
- Terry misses his throw by 3 inches and does not break the white line around the kill shot. He does not win.
- Since Terry failed in his attempt, the jackpot grows by $2.00.
- Terry’s buddy Bullseye Ben says, “Terry, you suck. I can easily do that.”
- Ben pays his $5 dollars to try. An Axe Depot employee gets out the Golden Axe and witnesses Ben’s singular throw at the kill shot.
- Ben’s throw barely breaks the white line around the kill shot. The shot is verified by the Axe Depot employee. Ben wins $27.00.
- The jackpot is reset back to $25, and the game starts over.
- Ben goes to the Pay Kiosk where he is given his $27.00. He takes a picture and walks back an Axe Depot Champion!
- The process continues over and over again.
